Jamestown elementary school teacher arrested for corruption of a minor

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A Gussner Elementary School teacher has been arrested on corruption of a minor charges.

Michael Romans, who is also a volunteer firefighter, was taken into custody on Monday, December 29.

Jamestown Police say the 45-year-old had a sexual relationship with a student for up to two years.

He was booked into the Stutsman County Correctional Center and awaits formal charges in Southeast District Court.

Romans has been placed on administrative leave from Jamestown Public Schools and the City of Jamestown.

The case remains under investigation.
