GRAND FORKS, N.D. – North Dakota Representative Landon Bahl is announcing he’s not seeking reelection.
The District 17 Republican was first elected to the House in 2023.
“Public service reshapes how you understand responsibility. Every vote, every conversation, every decision carries real consequences for real people. Serving District 17 challenged me to grow and lead with more humility than I ever expected,” Bahl said. “To the citizens of District 17 and the great State of North Dakota, I offer my sincere thank you.”
He said the decision was driven by professional responsibilities.
“This particular season of my career requires my full attention right now,” Bahl said.
While he will not seek re-election, Bahl said he plans to remain active in civic life.
“This decision is not a departure from public service, but rather a pause,” he said.
