Leaders of ND, MN order lowering of flags following Minneapolis school shooting

NORTH DAKOTA/MINNESOTA –  The governors of both Minnesota and North Dakota are ordering all U.S. and state flags lowered to half staff out of respect for the victims in the Minneapolis school shooting.

Two children were killed, seventeen other people were injured when a man fired shots in a church holding mass at the Annunciation Catholic School on Wednesday morning.

Governor Tim Walz’s order is indefinite, calling the shooting “senseless” and a “horrific act of violence.”

In North Dakota, Governor Kelly Armstrong says all U.S and state flags will be at half staff until sunset on Sunday.

Armstrong says he and his wife are “heartbroken for our neighbors in Minnesota and praying for the victims of the unspeakable act of violence.”
