Man arrested after early morning pursuit through the Metro

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A Fargo man was arrested for multiple charges after leading police on a pursuit on July 30.

According to Fargo Police, they received a report of a stolen vehicle in the 1200 block of 36th Street South around 2:20 A.M..

An officer located the vehicle near the intersection of 17th Avenue and 25th Street South and began to follow it. The officer activated their lights and sirens but the driver continued and drove into Moorhead.

Moorhead police were notified and found the vehicle, watching it as it returned to Fargo. Fargo officers then began to monitor the vehicle but eventually lost track of it.

West Fargo Police, who were monitoring the situation as well, found the vehicle near 45th Street and 32nd Avenue South. They attempted a stop, but the driver failed to comply.

Officers then used a PIT maneuver to finally stop the vehicle at the intersection of 47th Street and 32nd Avenue South.

The driver, identified as 37-year-old Leroy Manning from Fargo, was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle, fleeing a peace officer, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
