OTTER TAIL COUNTY, Minn. – A Wadena man is dead after an Otter Tail County house fire on Thursday, January 29.
Fire crews responded to Compton Township west of Wadena around 7:30 PM.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office said they found a 73-year-old man unresponsive and a dog that died in the home. The man was taken to a Wadena hospital where he died.
Authorities say the fire is not suspicious and the house is a total loss.
The fire is under investigation by the Minnesota Fire Marshal.
