BARNES COUNTY, N.D. – A man is dead after the semi he was driving went off Interstate 94 west of Valley City.
The Highway Patrol responded to the eastbound side of the freeway near the exit for Eckelson and Marion around 4:45 PM Thursday, August 14.
Troopers say the truck went into the ditch, drove threw a slough and went through up to 300 yards of a cornfield.
A 37-year-old Huron, South Dakota man died at a Valley City hospital.
Authorities say he was wearing a seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation.
