WADENA, MINN – A man dies in a structure fire near Wadena early Monday morning.
The Otter Tail County Dispatch Center received a call at 3:45 a.m. Monday alerting authorities of a structure fire northwest of Wadena on County Highway 75.
Members of the Bluffton, Wadena, Sebeka and New York Mills fire departments responded, along with Astera Ambulance assisting the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department.
A male was located within the home and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say an investigation into the death is underway, but they say no foul play is expected.
The residence is a total loss and the fire is under investigation by the sheriff’s office and state fire marshal’s office.
