UPDATE – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who died as 68-year-old Andrew Grant of Fargo.
Authorities are still investigating and waiting for final autopsy results from the University of North Dakota.
CHAFFEE, N.D. – One man is dead after an incident in rural Cass County.
First responders and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office were called to an address in Chaffee at just before 5 p.m. on a reported medical call for service. Prior to arrival, first responders were advised that a vehicle had allegedly fallen on a 68-year-old man.
The man was found dead at the scene. The investigation revealed that devices used to support the vehicle had failed, causing the vehicle to fall while the man was working underneath it.
The incident remains under investigation.
