(MOORHEAD) – The Moorhead Police Department has released the provisional cause of death of a 14-year-old girl found dead Tuesday morning.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office has announced that Jaelyn Walker’s manner of death was homicide by multiple sharp force injuries. The final results, which will include toxicology, are still pending.
Both drivers Moorhead Police had been seeking have been located, but police say a Samsung Galaxy cell phone, with an orange case, still needs to be located. The investigation has led officials to a new area of its possible location. It’s believed to be in Fargo between the block ranges of 2nd Avenue South to 10th Avenue South, between 15th Street South and 23rd Street South. Anyone within the area mentioned is asked to look for the phone.
The investigation continues, but Moorhead Police say the public’s assistance ‘has been highly beneficial’ and appreciated.
