Mike Lindell tells The Flag he’s close to a decision on run for Minnesota governor

Listen: Mike Lindell discussed a potential campaign for Minnesota governor on “What’s On Your Mind?”

MINNESOTA – Mike Lindell says he’s close to deciding whether he will run for the highest seat in Minnesota state politics.

On The Flag’s “What’s On Your Mind?”, the MyPillow founder said he’s waiting on “poll results” to decide if he will begin a campaign. He said if he wins in 2026, he’ll run the state like a business.

I love Minnesota, I love our country and it’s what God wants me to do. We’re praying about it,” Lindell said.

The businessman applauded President Donald Trump announcing a possible executive order on Truth Social that would do away with mail-in voting and voting machines.

Congress, not the president, has the authority to do that. If the president did sign an executive doing so, there would be a good chance a federal lawsuit would be filed.

In May 2022, the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party called Lindell’s comments on voting machines “unhinged “conspiracy theories”.

After Mr. Trump lost the 2020 election to former President Joe Biden, Lindell supported the now president’s efforts to overturn the election results. Lindell has been found liable in several lawsuits where he alleged voter fraud including a suit filed by Dominion Voting Systems.

On The Flag, Lindell said working on his election results campaign took 10 hours a day of work for him for four-and-a-half years. He labeled moves made during the Biden administration and under Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s watch as “deflection”.

“They put out this stuff that’s so bombastic and nonsensical that everybody focuses on that, not getting anything done, because you’re arguing about stuff. That’s absolutely crazy to be honest with you,” Lindell said.

Walz hasn’t announced if he will run for an unprecedented third term.

“Mike Lindell is the future of the Republican Party of Minnesota, representing all that Brad Finstad and Pete Stauber hope to be themselves,” DFL Party Chairman Richard Carlbom said in a statement to Flag Family News.

MyPillow is a sponsor of WDAY Radio.
