MOORHEAD, Minn. – Moorhead firefighter and National Guard veteran Kevin Salisbury has announced his campaign for Minnesota’s House of Representatives.
Documents filed with Minnesota’s Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board show Salisbury is running for the Democratic-Farmer-Labor nomination for House District 4A which covers most of Moorhead.
Salisbury’s website said he serves as trustee of the Moorhead Firefighters Union Board “where he played a pivotal role in securing six new firefighter positions for the city.”
“Kevin believes in fostering collaboration and ensuring that every voice in the community is heard and valued, and he has made transparency a cornerstone of his campaign efforts,” his website reads.
Moorhead Mayor Shelly Carlson is also running for the DFL nomination for Minnesota House District 4A.
The seat became open in next year’s election since DFL State Representative Heather Keeler announced she’ll run for GOP Minnesota Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach’s seat.
