FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A man once charged with attempted murder for a shooting in Fargo is now set to be sentenced on federal ammunition-related charges.
Cordell McFadden eventually had the attempted murder charge dropped, but he was sentenced to 10 years for aggravated assault for that same incident.
However, according to a plea agreement, while being investigated for that incident, police did find him with a magazine with six rounds of .380 caliber ammunition.
The document says that ammunition was different than what police’s investigation recovered from the shooting scene.
However, McFadden was not allowed to have that ammunition because of previous, unrelated charges.
According to court paperwork, McFadden is scheduled to be sentenced to Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon on July 1st in Fargo.
