FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A Moorhead man is scheduled to plead guilty to charges stemming from a November 2024 incident at Prairie St. Johns, where he allegedly threatened staff and spat on officers.
Alfadul Abdallah is expected to enter guilty pleas to two felony counts: Contact by Bodily Fluids and Terrorizing.
A plea and sentencing hearing is scheduled for February 17, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. in Cass County Court.
According to court documents, on November 27, 2024, police responded to Prairie St. Johns at 510 4th Street South for reports of a disturbance. Officers say Abdallah spat on two officers and threatened to kill an officer and “shoot up the place.”
Documents state that while Abdallah was putting items in his locker in the lobby, he threw a water bottle filled with red juice at an officer. He then allegedly jumped over the reception gate and began throwing computers and other items from the desk at officers while continuing to make threats about shooting everyone in the building.
Abdallah was arrested and medically cleared at Essentia Health before being transported to the Cass County Jail.
Plea Agreement Details
Under the terms of the proposed plea agreement, prosecutors are recommending a sentence of 360 days in jail for each count, to run concurrently. With credit for 300 days already served, Abdallah would serve an additional 60 days.
The agreement also calls for three years of supervised probation, with fees waived due to indigency and a release of information with all mental health care providers for probation.
A judge will make the final decision on whether to accept the plea and impose the recommended sentence at the February hearing.
