Moorhead Police clarify Friday afternoon, says neither ICE nor other federal agents were involved

MOORHEAD – Moorhead Police are clarifying information relating to Friday afternoon’s arrest.

“On Friday, September 26, an incident occurred involving law enforcement officers resulting in the arrest of a suspect as part of a local investigation,” the department said in a press release. “This operation did not involve U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) or any other federal agency.”

Sworn officers from the Moorhead Police Department were present in the arrest.

“The Moorhead Police Department carefully considers all requests for assistance from federal law enforcement agencies,” the police department said. “Any decision to assist is made on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the specific circumstances and known details of the request at the time.”
