MOORHEAD, MINN. — Moorhead Police is looking into a suspicious death of a 20-month-old child.
The separtment says they were contacted by the Cass County Coroner’s Office in the late-night hours Thursday. The child was brought to Sanford Medical Center from Moorhead. Lifesaving measures were unsuccessful.
Moorhead Police responded to the hospital to begin an investigation. They say the child was living in the 1100 block of 18 ½ Street South. Officers secured the residence as part of the investigation.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with the investigation, with the Crime Scene Unit processing the scene.
An autopsy will take place. The investigation is ongoing.
