Moorhead police looking for teen suspect and vehicle in drive-by shooting

Moorhead, M.N. – Police are now looking for a teenager and a vehicle in connection to a drive-by shooting that left another teen injured last week.

The shooting took place on June 19th in the 1100 block of 12th Street South.

Authorities are looking for a white 2010 Chrysler 300 with Minnesota license plates EJJ379.

Police say the car also had “distinct red lettering on the upper portion of the rear window.”

People are also being told not to approach if the vehicle is spotted and call law enforcement right away.

Cops are also searching for a 17-year old boy who was believed to be in the passenger seat when the gunshots rang out.

While saying there is “an unknown risk to public safety,” authorities reconfirmed that it was a targeted shooting and not random.

Police are looking to speaker to the vehicle’s driver, although they don’t believe the person is involved in the crime.
