Moorhead standoff suspect was also charged with having explosive device in June in North Dakota

Moorhead, M.N. – A man who was holed up inside a home for hours on Monday in Moorhead turns out to be the same person who allegedly had an explosive device in his vehicle last month in North Dakota.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office say 42-year old Christopher Ringsrud-Knowles of Arville allegedly fled a traffic stop and led authorities on a chase that ended in the area of 40th Street South and 23rd Avenue South.

Ringsrud-Knowles, whose vehicle was disabled by authorities, allegedly ran inside a nearby home and spent hours barricaded inside until law enforcement flushed him out of the attic and into custody.

His passenger, 30-year old Alexandria Lang, was also arrested after she allegedly tossed a backpack out of the car during the police pursuit.

Back in June, Ringsrud-Knowles was pulled over along Interstate 94 in Grand Forks County, where authorities allegedly found a homemade explosive device inside.

Ringsrud-Knowles is currently being held at the Clay County Correctional Facility.
