(LAKE VIEW TOWNSHIP, MINN) – The Minnesota State Patrol says two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a crash Friday afternoon in Becker County.
The crash happened at Highway 59 and Melissa Drive South in Lake View Township. A 2019 Nissan was northbound when it collided with a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan, also northbound and travelling on the shoulder.
The driver of the Nissan, 59-year-old David Schmaltz, of Barnesville, was not injured, while the passenger, 52-year-old Michelle Schmaltz, also of Barnesville, was injured but not transported to the hospital.
The driver of the Dodge Grand Caravan, 39-year-old Tiffany Ruther, of Perham, was transported to Essentia Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
