N.D. House Republican Caucus chair steps down

(BISMARCK, ND) – The North Dakota House Republican Caucus is searching for a new chairman.

Representative Jeremy Olson resigned the position. The District 26 Republican, from Arnegard, tells Flag Family News that the resignation occurred due to a new position he will be starting after the end of the current legislative session.

“I know it was a bit of a surprise with the timing of this, but it was necessary in order to do an election before everyone departed,” Olson said in a statement. “During the session, I am full-time in this role and am able to do the work, but during the interim, there will be a lot of work for the caucus leader such as fundraising events, election committees, and a lot of other things that will take a lot of time.”

Olson says he will continue his role as a legislator.
