N.D. K-12 leader reacts to passing of Rep. Cindy Schreiber-Beck

(BISMARCK, ND) – Statewide officials continue to share their thoughts on Rep. Cindy Schreiber-Beck, who died at the age of 70.

Superintendent of Public Instruction, Kirsten Baesler, who leads the state’s K-12 education system, called Schreiber-Beck ‘a fierce supporter of K-12 education.’

“As vice chair of the North Dakota House Education Committee, Rep. Schreiber-Beck was tireless in her work to produce better education policy, and she had the welfare of students and their families foremost in her mind,” Baesler said. “She will be sorely missed in the Capitol and in southeastern North Dakota, where she was a longtime community leader.”
