N.D. Mill reports profit increase

GRAND FORKS, ND – The North Dakota Mill and Elevator is reporting a record profit – and increase from the previous year – in the most recent fiscal year.

According to the North Dakota Industrial Commission, made up of Governor Kelly Armstrong, Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring and Attorney General Drew Wrigley, the mill and elevator, located in Grand Forks, had profits of more than $26 million, which is an increase of nearly 30 percent, in fiscal year 2025.

“The dedicated team at the North Dakota Mill delivered another exceptional year with record shipment volume of 18.7 million hundredweight, a record 40.3 million bushels of grain purchased, and gross sales of $476 million,” North Dakota Industrial Commission members said in a joint statement. “We are grateful for their support of the mill’s mission and for their hard work to deliver a profit to its owners – the citizens of North Dakota.”

The mill transferred more than half of its profit, more than $12.6 million, to the state’s general fund and another $1.3 million to the agricultural product utilization fund.
