ND Powerball player wins $100K in Jamestown

Jamestown, N.D. – North Dakota Lottery says a lucky player won a $100,000 prize recently through the Powerball lottery.

The winning ticket was sold at Hugo’s on 1st Avenue South in Jamestown.

The person matched four white balls plus the Powerball.

While that combination usually results in a $50,000 prize, the amount rose significantly because the person used the so-called “Power Play” option to increase the potential winnings.

While not identifying who specifically bought the ticket, ND Lottery says the ticket holder can claim the prize within 180 days of the draw.

Since the start of spring in March, the interim director of the North Dakota Lottery says they’ve also had a $60,000 Lotto
America with All Star Bonus win, a $20,000 Lotto America win, and a 2by2 jackpot win of $22,000.
