New Jersey man injured in Otter Tail County crash during thunderstorm

(NEWTON TOWNSHIP, MINN) – The Minnesota State Patrol says a New Jersey man suffered injuries when his semi rolled in Otter Tail County.

The Patrol says the accident happened Thursday afternoon during a thunderstorm with high winds. The semi was eastbound on Highway 10 when the vehicle came off the road due to the winds before rolling into the median.

The driver, 55-year-old Olekfandr Ihnatenko, of Manalapan, New Jersey, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.

No one else was injured.
