North Dakota vehicle deaths are the lowest in decades

NORTH DAKOTA – Vehicle deaths in North Dakota are dropping to record lows.

The Department of Transportation says there were 89 deadly crashes last year, the lowest in 24 years. Officials say 30 of them involved people not wearing their seat belts.

Data compared to 2022 and 2023 also shows a gradual decline in alcohol and speed-related deaths.
