BISMARCK, N.D. — A five-year trend of high but stable crime rates in the state is continuing.
State officials reported nearly 46-thousand violent crimes were committed in 2024. DUI arrests saw the only significant rise, increasing by almost seven-percent. Attorney General Drew Wrigley warns the pattern may reflect a “new normal” for crime in the state.
Officials plan to expand crime data tracking to a ten-year period, with the next report due by July 1st.
