FARGO — One person is dead and two others injured after a crash early Sunday morning in north Fargo.
Authorities and first responders were called at 2:30 a.m. to the area of the 1200 block of 10th Street North for a single vehicle crash.
A vehicle was northbound on 10th Street North at a high rate of speed. As it crossed the intersection at 12th Avenue North, the driver lost control and the vehicle left the roadway and struck the rear bumper of an unoccupied vehicle in a driveway. The vehicle then hit a tree.
The driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. One passenger died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash and a second suffered life-threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
The Highway Patrol, Fargo and NDSU Police, Fargo Fire and Sanford Ambulance responded to the call.
