BISMARCK, ND — A constitutional initiative that calls for schools to provide one breakfast and one lunch daily to students at no cost has been submitted to the Secretary of State.
The chair of the sponsoring committee is Robin Nelson of Fargo.
The petition would require 31,164 signatures to place it on the ballot. The soonest it could be placed up for election is in the June 2026 primary election:
