Fargo Police Chief David Zibolski and Mayor Doctor Tim Mahoney have released statements on the school shooting in Minneapolis and an investigation into threats in Fargo.
“In light of the tragic shooting in Minneapolis, I want to reassure residents that the Fargo Police Department and its federal partners continue to actively investigate the potential threat made against a school or shopping center that was received early [Wednesday] morning,” Zibolski wrote. “No school building, school district or shopping center specific to Fargo was mentioned in the threat, and we currently have no information to suggest the threat is credible.”
“Our hearts go out to the victims and families impacted by the shooting this morning at Annunciation Catholic School. Our thoughts, prayers and condolences are with them in this time of unimaginable suffering,” Mahoney wrote. “I want to offer my gratitude to the Fargo Police Department for taking seriously the potential threat it received this morning and immediately launching an investigation.”

MINNEAPOLIS – Two children were killed and 17 other people, mostly kids, were injured in a mass shooting at a catholic school in Minneapolis.
During a Wednesday morning press conference, Police Chief Brian O’Hara said 14 of the 17 people injured are children.
Two of the children are said to be in critical condition.
The kids who died were ages 8 and 10, and were sitting in pews when they were shot.
Authorities say the gunman, who was not identified, fired through a church window at the Annunciation Catholic School during morning mass.
The gunman then died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities have already said there is no longer an active threat, but advised the public to stay away from the area.
