Police investigating after man found dead in Jamestown apartment building

JAMESTOWN, N.D. – Jamestown Police are investigating an unattended death that the department does not believe is suspicious.

Authorities say the owner of an apartment building on the 200 block of 1st Avenue South called after finding the man’s body.

Police say the person was dead at the bottom of a stairwell for several hours.

Authorities are working to identify the man who didn’t have identification on him.

Police believe he is 25 to 40-years-old, Native American or Caucasian, about 5’10” tall, weighs between 165 to 185 pounds with a black beard and black hair.

The man has several tattoos and was wearing multi-colored Converse All-Stars shoes.
