MOORHEAD, Minn. – Police say a man is in the Clay County Jail on several charges, including armed robbery.
Officers responded to a complex on the 3300 block of Third Avenue North near the EasTen Shopping Center at 1:40 AM Wednesday, August 13.
A Clay County Sheriff’s Office K9 tried to track the man, but wasn’t able to find him. Authorities say they found a knife at the scene.
Police say no one was hurt and the robbery victim knows the suspect. The department hasn’t said what the suspect took from the alleged victim or the apartment.
Around 5:30 AM, officers went to the Highway 10 McDonalds for a suspicious person call. It turned out to be the armed robbery suspect and he was arrested.
Forty-nine-year-old Deshun Jones of Fargo faces the following charges:
- Aggravated armed robbery
- Second degree assault with a dangerous weapon
- Fourth degree assault on a peace officer
- Obstructing the legal process
