FARGO, ND – Fargo Police Department detectives are continuing to investigate a second fatal shooting in Fargo early Sunday morning.
According to the department, at 2:26 a.m., a report of gunshots was received in the 4700 block of 16th Avenue. Due to the active crime scene underway in the 50 block of Broadway, Fargo Police requested mutual aid from West Fargo Police for the response to the call.
Upon arrival, officers found one person dead. They then established a perimeter around the crime scene.
The Criminal Investigations Division of the Fargo Police Department is actively investigating the incident. Anyone with information that could aid in the investigation is asked to call the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at 701-451-7660 or text their tip by using the keyword FARGOPD and the tip to 847411.
Police say it’s unknown whether or not the shooting is related to the call in the 50 block of Broadway. Detectives are working to determine a possible connection.
They say there is no indication of an ungoing threat to the public.
