WEST FARGO, ND – The Red River Valley Fair is closing early.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says the decision was made in conjunction with the fair’s management team to close the grounds at 5 p.m. due to potentially severe weather conditions.
“This decision comes after closely monitoring the weather forecast, which indicates potentially severe weather conditions expected to impact the area later today,” the sheriff’s office said. “In the interest of public safety, fair operations will not continue into the evening.”
Red River Valley Fair CEO Cody Cashman says tickets for tonight’s demolition derby will be valid for Saturday’s show.
“We apologize for the change – the weather is out of our control – but we hope you’ll join us tomorrow for double the action and an even bigger night of entertainment,” Cashman said.
