Red River Valley Garden Tour raises $12,400 for Garden of Healing

FARGO, ND – The recent Red River Valley Garden Tour was a success.

The annual tour, which showcases local gardens annually, was held earlier this month. Don Kinzler, who helps organize the tour, says this year’s garden tour drew in 817 people to tour a total of eight gardens across the Fargo-Moorhead area.

This year’s event supported the Garden of Healing.

“Each year, the master gardeners donate to a non-profit garden related,” Kinzler said.

This year’s Garden Tour raised $12,400 for the non-profit Garden of Healing, which was started by Arlin and Sarah Fisher.

17-year-old Cameron Bolton, Sarah’s son, died after a tragic car accident in 2018. The accident was on June 28, and Bolton died days later, on July 2.

The Fishers started the Garden of Healing ‘to provide a sanctuary for both personal and community healing.’
