Salisbury ends Minnesota House 4A bid

MOORHEAD, MINN – A Moorhead firefighter is ending his run for Minnesota’s 4A House seat.

“I have enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people along the way, but I do not feel I can do the campaign justice while balancing my professional career and personal commitments,” Kevin Salisbury announced on his campaign Facebook page Sunday afternoon.

The seat, currently held by Heather Keeler, represents an area of Moorhead. Keeler is not running for reelection to the State House, but is running for Congress.

Salisbury’s departure leaves Moorhead mayor Shelly Carlson and nurse practitioner Erika Yoney in the race for the Democratic primary.
