FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – One of the most critical times of year for blood donations is the summertime due to people being more active.
The ‘Save Our Summer’ blood drive is happening Tuesday, July 29, through Thursday, July 31, at West Acres Mall in Fargo.
The nonprofit Vitalant is looking for at least 177 donors throughout the course of the blood drive.
The blood drive will occur from 11:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. throughout the three days.
Jessica Grantham the Account Manager for Vitalant has some tips for anyone who will be donating for the first time.
“My best tips for someone who is donating for the first time is making sure you have a nutritious meal before hand, be well hydrated, and limit caffeine,” Grantham said.
