Cass County, N.D. – Authorities say a semi slammed into cattle walking along Interstate 94 on Tuesday morning, killing eight of the animals.
Just after 1:30am, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office says the truck hit the cattle that were wandering on the eastbound side near mile marker 321.
The area is west of Cassleton, and the driver was uninjured.
Authorities say the cattle appeared to break through fencing on the owner’s property.
No citations have been handed out to the cattle owner, as the investigation continues.
