WASHINGTON – Republican North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer said on The Flag he agrees with the Supreme Court’s ruling that struck down President Trump’s tariffs he imposed on nearly every country using an emergency powers law.
Justices ruled Congress, not the president, can impose those tariffs.
“They’ve been pairing back executive powers for a long time, this court that Donald Trump has created because they understand the separation of powers,” Cramer said on “What’s On Your Mind?”.
Cramer added the president is looking into ways he can issue tariffs with the powers he’s been given by the Constitution and Congress.
