NORTH DAKOTA – Last week in a letter to The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead, former Democratic North Dakota Senator Kent Conrad called out Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and Republican North Dakota Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer.
“Their complete failure to stand up to the obvious abuse of power by the Trump administration is destroying their legacies and reputations,” Conrad wrote citing ICE’s operations in Minneapolis, including the deadly shooting of intensive care nurse Alex Pretti by two Border Patrol Agents.
Conrad said Burgum, Hoeven and Cramer should resign if they can’t stand up against what he calls “government abuse of American citizens.”
Cramer’s responded on “What’s On Your Mind?” on The Flag.
“I saw the Conrad headline and that was kind of it. Former senators occasionally feel an obligation to their party, particularly with Senator Conrad who I have a lot of respect for,” Cramer said.z
