MAHNOMEN COUNTY, Minn. – Six people were sent to the hospital following a head-on crash in Mahnomen County.
It happened around 7:00 Sunday night on U.S. Highway 59 in Popple Grove Township.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a pickup driven by a 30-year-old Waubun woman collided with a car driven by a 37-year-old Redby woman. The road was full of snow and ice.
Authorities say alcohol wasn’t a factor in the crash, everyone was wearing seat belts and the airbags in both vehicles deployed.
A passenger in the car, a 62-year-old Redby woman, was flown to a Fargo hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Five other people, including nine and 12-year-old girls, were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
