NORTH DAKOTA – The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services says people in 14 counties automatically qualify for replacement SNAP benefits because of storms last weekend.
They include:
- Barnes
- Burleigh
- Cass
- Foster
- Grant
- Griggs
- Kidder
- Logan
- Morton
- Ransom
- Sioux
- Steele
- Stutsman
- Traill
Anyone who lives elsewhere may still be eligible, but they must prove they lost power for at least four hours.
To request replacement benefits, forms must be submitted online through the Self-Service Portal or in person at a human service zone office. The forms must be submitted by Monday.
North Dakota TRICARE beneficiaries can receive emergency prescription refills until the end of the month.
Last weekend’s severe weather led to the healthcare provider to offer additional services to those who need access to prescriptions.
TRICARE provides civilian health care benefits for active duty servicemembers, veterans and their families.
North Dakotans can get the emergency refills until Tuesday by going to their pharmacy.
