BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Supreme Court has rejected Spencer Moen’s appeal for a new trial.
He was convicted in the beating death of his wife, Sonja, more than two years ago in their West Fargo home.
Moen’s attorneys argued for a new trial since two of his children were allowed to testify remotely, believing his right to confront them in-person was denied. The court said if the minors were allowed to testify in front of Moen in person, it would re-traumatize them.
