North Dakota – A number of communities across North Dakota are receiving state loans to support water infrastructure this summer.
Ten loans were handed out through the State Revolving Fund, which is managed by the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality and the Public Finance Authority.
Fargo received $40 million to replace aging infrastructure during simultaneous roadwork, and Grand Forks is getting more than $12 million to install water and sanitary system for the Korynta-Lemm Sixth Subdivision.
Four other towns and cities also received funding for various projects.
The loan program is partially backed by the federal government under the Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act, and money is awarded based on eligibility through a project priority list.
