FARGO, N.D. – The Great Maze is coming back to the West Acres Mall parking lot this season with a new look on Saturday, August 30th.
Creators are switching from straw to cedar planks, and the maze is believed to the be the largest of its kind.
Organizers are expecting to set a Guinness World Record.
The move to white cedar was made in the name of providing a cleaner, fire-resistant option.
That said, a façade made of straw will sit at the maze’s main entrance.
And it won’t be quick to solve: people can expect to spend between 45 minutes to an hour to complete the maze.
You can also expect to see scavenger hunts, pumpkin sales, along with other games and activities on site through Halloween.
A corn pit will also be larger than past years, sitting under a tent with playground equipment and seating for parents.
