GENTILLY TOWNSHIP, MINN – A Thief River Falls man is dead after a snowmobile accident Saturday in Gentilly Township in Polk County, Minn.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said it received a call at 2 p.m. reporting a snowmobile crash in Gentilly Township, northeast of the town of Gentilly.
They responded to the scene, along with Crookston Area Ambulance, and began lifesaving measures on one person who was at the scene. The snowmobile operator, identified as 33-year-old Cody Teie, of Thief River Falls, died of his injuries at the scene of the crash. He was wearing a helmet, and alcohol is not believed to have been a factor.
The crash is under investigation.
