Three fleeing drivers arrested during multi-agency enforcement aerial detail in Fargo

FARGO, ND – The North Dakota Highway Patrol assisted local law enforcement through a multi-agency enforcement aerial detail. The enforcements use aircraft and Forward Looking Infrared technology to locate reckless drivers who have fled law enforcement.

The officers are the allowed to discontinue ground pursuit and hand th case over to the aerial team who track them to a stopped location where officers can initiate personal contact.

The three fleeing drivers were all arrested.

One was a 24-year-old man from Milnor who has been charged with fleeing a police officer, driving without liability insurance and driving without a proper class license. A 22-year-old Texas man was charged with felony reckless endangerment, felony fleeing a police officer; failure to display plates; no registration; driving without liability insurane; driving without a proper class license; driving under suspension; possession of THC and speeding (125 in a 55 zone); and a 20-year-old male from Fargo, who has been charged with fleeing a police officer; reckless driving; no registration; driving without liability insurance; possession of THC; and driving without a proper class license.

An additional 11 traffic stops were made, resulting in three drivers tested for impairment and two being arrested for DUI. Troopers wrote an additional seven warnings and nine citations.
