CASS COUNTY, N.D. – Three people are hurt after a crash involving a Red Cross SUV bringing supplies to Page, North Dakota as part of severe storm relief.
It happened around 11:00 Wednesday morning between Arthur and Hunter during rainy conditions.
The Highway Patrol says a semi was going north on Highway 18 and the SUV was heading west on County Road 26 and didn’t yield for the semi and the vehicles collided.
The driver of the SUV, a 74-year-0ld Beaver Creek, Minnesota man, and two passengers, a 74-year-0ld Beaver Creek woman and a 71-year-old Alexandria, Minnesota woman, were taken to a Fargo hospital with serious injuries. The SUV driver was cited for failure to yield. The semi driver wasn’t hurt.
Troopers say everyone involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.
The crash remains under investigation.
