Three people sent to the hospital after Moorhead I-94 construction zone crash

MOORHEAD, Minn. – Three people were taken to the hospital after two vehicles collided in the Interstate 94 construction zone in Moorhead Wednesday night.

It happened in the westbound lane near the 8th Street ramp just after 10:30.

Thirty-five-year-old Ashley Dearborn of Fargo, 24-year-old Jeremy Schultz of West Fargo, and 81-year-old Ronald Erdman of Barnesville were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The State Patrol says everyone was wearing seat belts and troopers don’t believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the $2.8 million project includes installing fiber optics for overhead message boards and cameras for improved traffic management. Work is expected to last all summer.
