GRAND FORKS COUNTY, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Travis Bell of Fordville will stand trial Jan. 27 at 9:00 a.m. in Grand Forks County after chemical breath test results were officially returned in a deadly crash case.
Bell is accused of criminal vehicular homicide and injury after a June 2024 crash near Grand Forks killed 6-year-old Katarina Louthain.
The North Dakota Supreme Court recently reversed a lower court ruling in December that had previously suppressed the breath test evidence. The high court stated the district court misapplied the law, concluding Bell voluntarily consented to the test.
The case will remain in Grand Forks County.
