Scott Moen is the club manager of the Moorhead American Legion and was recognized for his work with veterans.

His stepdaughter was the one who wrote a letter to the businesses to nominate him for the prize.

“I read that letter and I’m not going to cry though,” Moen joked.  “I’d like to say thanks.  You guys have impeccable timing.”

Steve Baron is the fire chief of the West Fargo Rural Fire Department, while his wife, Sue, is known for her ongoing grassroots works which includes the Golden Drive Homeless Kids effort.

“I just am so beyond words and thankful,” said Sue Baron.  “What you [Lennox and Laney’s] do for the community is priceless.”
