Two measles cases reported in Cass County

(FARGO, ND) – The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services is reporting two cases of measles in Cass County.

Both individuals were unvaccinated and acquired measles through international travel. One individual is hospitalized. The two cases in Cass County are not related to cases in Williams County.

The possible exposures occurred at a pair of Essentia Health clinics in the metro – on May 7 between 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. at The Lights West Fargo Clinic and on May 9 between 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the walk-in care clinic locate at 4110 51st Avenue South. HHS, in coordination with Essentia Health, is identifying individuals who may have been exposed.

The state now has 11 total confirmed cases.
